Bangladeshi shot dead in US

A Bangladeshi businessman was shot dead in the United States on August 18, family sources said in Dhaka yesterday.

The gunmen shot Kamal Chowdhury, 51, at his business centre in Oklahoma city. He died on way to hospital at 4.00pm on August 18.

Hailing from village Kanishail of Golapganj thana in Sylhet, Kamal left behind his wife, two sons, father, mother, three brothers and two sisters to mourn his death.

Earlier, Kamal served in a tea garden of James Finlay Co. Ltd. in Bangladesh and later he started his own business in Oklahoma, USA.

His body will arrive in Dhaka on August 23. He will be buried on Shahjalal (R) Mazar premises the same day after Asr prayers.
