Allowances for ward commissioners to be raised

The meeting discussed matters relating to raising allowances and other facilities of ward commissioners and female commissioners in the reserved seats under the Dhaka City Corporation

State minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Ziaul Haque Zia was present, a press release said.

The meeting recommended some proposals for raising the allowances and facilities for the commissioners in all city corporations of the country after reviewing their demands.

It also suggested for holding a discussion with the mayors of six city corporations for taking the final decision in this regard.

LGRD Secretary AHM Abul Quashem and officials concerned were present.
