Gold worth Tk 3 cr seized in Chittagong
The anti-smuggling task force yesterday sealed off a jewellery shop where it seized a huge quantity of gold bars and ornaments worth about Tk 3 crore on Wednesday.
Ramkrishna Nath, owner of the shop Nath Jewellery at Boxirhat, was still in hiding, sources said.
The task force drawn from Bangladesh Rifles, Rapid Action Battalion and Chittagong Metropolitan Police, sealed off the shop early yesterday and put some cops on guard there.
