Listed criminal lynched in Khulna
Listed criminal Sohel Sheikh alias Mintoo was lynched by an angry mob yesterday morning near BK Institution at Beni Babu Road under Khulna thana.
The incident occurred when Sohel was running away allegedly throwing a bomb on police informer SM Rabiul Islam Bablu. He was injured in the bomb attack.
Witnesses said, three other accomplices of Sohel Sheikh managed to escape.
Khulna thana OC Mosharaf Hossain said that the bomb was thrown to kill our informer as he was helping police to arrest notorious criminals.
Sohel Sheikh, son of Iddris Shaikh of Basupara under Sonadanga thana, was linked with Janajuddho faction of the outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Part (PBCP), Mosharaf said.
