Govt to take action against those disrupting BRTC services
The government will take legal action against the persons responsible for disrupting the services of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) in the south and northern region of the country, says a press release.
Secretary of the communication ministry yesterday sent two separate letters to divisional commissioners of Rajshahi and Khulna asking them to take legal action for obstructing the movement of BRTC buses in their areas.
Under an agreement signed between the transport owners and the government on August 20 last year, the BRTC could run its buses either through leasing or its own management.
But the transport owners and workers are disrupting the BRTC bus communication through misinterpreting the agreement, the release added.
