Tk30 lakh for Ahsania Mission Cancer Hospital

Abdul Hai Sarker, Khondokar Munir Uddin, Mohammad Hanif, Altaf Hossain Sarker, Rashadur Rahman, Mohammad Amirullah, Tohidul Hossain Chowdhury, Sahed Noman, Khondakar Fazle Rashid, Mohammad Abu Mussa and Arham Masudul Huq of the Dhaka Bank Foundation and Prof Nurul Islam and M A Matin of Dhaka Ahsania Mission were present.

Hemayetuzzaman lauded the role of Dhaka Ahsania Mission for its social service, specially for the initiative to establish an international standard cancer hospital at Uttara in the city.. He assured that the foundation would try to continue to help the hospital in the coming days. Kazi Rafiqul Alam thanked Dhaka Bank Foundation for the donation, the highest in amount received so far. He said that about Tk 84 crore would be required for construction of the hospital in first phase. He appealed to the benevolent individuals and institutions to come forward to help establish the hospital by making donations.

Prime Minister Kheleda Zia will lay the foundation stone of the hospital on July 10 and its construction will start soon.
