Standard Chartered marks Aids Day

The Standard Chartered Bank has marked its own Aids Day in 56 countries across the globe on June 24, says a press release.

The bank employees shared information and relevant facts on HIV to shatter myths and help break down the social stigma of Aids.

The Standard Chartered Aids Day is part of the bank's commitment to ongoing dialogue on HIV/Aids in the workplace.

Last year, the bank launched a Living with HIV campaign, an innovative peer education programme aimed at informing employees about the facts of HIV/Aids, how it spreads, how it can be prevented and how to care for those afflicted with HIV/Aids.
