Matin Chowdhury's 23rd anniversary of death today
The 23rd death anniversary of Dr Abdul Matin Chowdhury, Bose Professor and Vice-chancellor of Dhaka University, will be observed today, says a press release.
On the occasion, Qurankhwani will be arranged at the Dhaka University mosque, at his Gulshan residence and at his village home.
A milad mahfil will be held at the residence of his son at House No-21/A, Road No-121, Gulshan after 7.00pm today.
Friends, relatives and admirers have been requested to attend the milad.
Dr Matin Chowdhury, also founder chairman of Bangabandhu Parishad, has been awarded Independence Day Award-1997 (posthumously) for his contribution in the field of education.
