Nat'l mathematics festival begins today

Bangladesh Mathematics Olympiad Committee has organised the festival in collaboration with the Dutch Bangla Bank Limited and the daily Prothom Alo.

Winners of the competitions held earlier at six divisions across the country will take part in the festival.

Noted scientist Dr Jamal Nazrul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of BRAC University Professor Jamilur Reza Chowdhury and Vice-President of Bangladesh Mathematics Olympiad Committee Professor Mohammad Zafar Iqbal are expected to attend the festival.

The programme of the festival includes open discussion, seminar on mathematics and science exhibition.

The objective of the festival is to popularise mathematics among the students.
