Orientation held at Presidency University

The orientation programme for newly admitted students of the summer semester at Presidency University was held on the university premises in Gulshan, Dhaka on Sunday, says a press release.

Muslehuddin Ahmad, vice-chancellor (designate), welcomed the students and assured them of quality education in this institution.

A pioneer in establishing the first private university in Bangladesh, Ahmad emphasized the need for proficiency in English in order to pursue higher studies both at Presidency University and beyond.

He also stressed that although politics may be part of the course curricula for preparing students as future leaders, no political activities or groupings would be allowed on campus.

Parents and guardians of the students were invited to meet the faculty members after the orientation ceremony.
