Outlawed NBCP leader arrested
A ringleader of Mrinal faction of the outlawed New Biplobi Communist Party (NBCP) was arrested by police from a shallow machine room at Khalilnagar village under Tala upazila on Wednesday midnight.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Nasir Gazi, 35, son of Minhaj Gazi of village Ramnagar in Paikgachha upazila under Khulna district.
He was a self-styled cashier of the party.
Nasir was wanted in connection with several cases including murder, abduction and extortion filed with Paikgachha and Dumuria Police Stations in Khulna and Tala Police Station in Satkhira.
