JCD activists ransack JU BCL leader's room
The Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activists ransacked the room of a Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader at Shaheed Salam Barkat Hall of Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Tuesday night.
The JCD activists claimed that they recovered cannabis and a lethal weapon from the room.
The room belonged to Sayed Shafiul Hasan Chishty, BCL university unit organising secretary. Chisty was out of the hall during the incident.
Provost A K M Shahnawaz confirmed the incident. The hall authorities kept the room under lock and key to avoid further incident.
Jahangirnagar University BCL President Mahbuba Nasrin Jebin declined to comment on the issue.
