Journalist Sadhan Dhar dies
He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters.
Born on September 8, 1924 at village Dabua in Raozan, Sadhan Dhar did B.Sc. from Sir Ashutosh College in Kolkata in 1945.
He joined the Daily Azadi as a sub-editor in 1961 and became the news editor in 1984.
He was also an activist of All India Students' Federation and Bharatiya Jatiya Congress during his student life. After the partition of the sub-continent, he joined the Awami League in 1955. He was also the vice-president of Greater Chittagong Awami League.
Leaders of Chittagong Union of Journalists and Chittagong Press Club in a joint statement yesterday expressed deep condolence at his death.
