Nari Unnayan Shakti observes Women's Day

The Nari Unnayan Shakti (Women's power for development) observed the International Women's Day on Monday with discussion, workshop and cultural programme, says a press release.

The programmes were held at its project offices in Dhaka, Pabna and Chittagong.

Community women, survivors of sexual violence, commercial sex workers, child labourers, students and NGO staffs and members took part in the programmes.

The organisation arranged a two-day long training on 'Leadership quality development for the women' for the mid-level NGO workers and peer educators at its Kuril training centre.

The training was conducted by the Capacity Building Project and the Department of Social Services.

Afroja Parvin, executive director of Nari Unnayan Shakti coordinated the programme.
