2 FFs' family members appeal for jobs
One of them was Habibur Rahman Habib, Bir Bikram, under whose leadership the freedom fighters destroyed three arms-laden ships of Pak invaders during the liberation war in Tangail.
The other Shahidul Islam Lalu, also from Tangail, was the youngest Bir Protik for killing several Pakistani soldiers at the age of 12 by throwing grenades on them in 1971.
Habibur Rahman died in 1998 leading a life with poverty while Shahidul Islam is still living a miserable life at a place behind the Muktijoddha complex at Mirpur in the city.
At a press conference, organised by Tangail Zila Samity at the National Press Club, the family members said "We have urged the prime minister, Muktijoddha Sangsad and the liberation war affairs ministry for financial help, but we didn't get any response.
"
Out of six daughters and two sons of Habibur Rahman, a daughter is doing her graduation, a son is reading in college and another son is in class ten.
"But currently it is quite impossible for us to manage even our three-time meals let alone how we will continue our studies," said sons and daughters of Habibur Rahman with an emotion-choked voice.
Shahidul Islam with his two sons and daughters is also struggling to survive.
