Textile vocational instt to be set up in each dist

The minister said this at a meeting with the officials of the Textiles Department and textile technologists.

Mentioning the importance of textile industry in the national economy, Matin said the government has taken the decision to meet the growing demand of textile technologists and make the country self-reliant in textile.

He said the government also has a plan to formulate 'national textile design' and upgrade the training and research institute to degree level to create the opportunities of higher education for the students of textile diploma institutes and vocational institutes, says a handout.
