BCL demands Huda's resignation
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), student wing of the opposition Awami League, yesterday brought out a procession and held a rally on the Dhaka University campus protesting the remarks of Communications Minister Nazmul Huda at the Islami Chhatra Shibir Conference in the city recently about role of Jamaat during the War of Liberation.
Demanding immediate resignation of Huda, BCL leaders at the rally said he has to seek unconditional apology in front of the people.
They said the remarks of Huda proved that the alliance government is against the spirit of liberation war. Ousting the alliance government, Huda and his associates those who are against the liberation war would be tried at the Janatar Mancha (people's dais) soon, the BCL leaders said.
Presided over by BCL President Liaqat Sikder the rally was also addressed by General Secretary Nazrul Islam Babu, DU unit president Delwar Hossain and General Secretary Hemayet Uddin Khan Himu.
