Order to withdraw Ctg airport security officer

The state minister took the action against Rashida Akter of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) after the journalists made a complaint to him.

The newsmen went to the airport to cover the inauguration of Chittagong-Jeddah direct Hajj flight at around 10.30am.

As the flight was delayed for about three hours due to dense fog, they took the opportunity to talk with Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad who was waiting in a VIP room of the airport.

But soon Rashida appeared in the room and started bullying the newsmen. She also forced them out of the room. Ershad tried to intervene, but in vain.

After the inaugural ceremony, the newsmen made a complaint to the state minister during a press briefing, prompting him to ask CAAB Member Obayedur Rahman to withdraw the security officer.
