One shot dead in Ctg

The victim, Mahidur Rahman, 48, was reportedly a close aide of kanchannagar UP Chairman Abu Kashem Chowdhury, one of the main suspects in the abduction of business magnate Jamaluddin Ahmed Chowdhury.

A gang of about eight armed men called Mahidur out of his residence at around 10.00pm. As he came out, the gang sprayed bullets on him and dumped his body near a water body, sources said.

The motive behind the murder could not be established till yesterday afternoon. A case was filed with Fatikchhari police.
