Khaleda lays foundation of HC building in Islamabad

Prime Minister Khaleda Zia laid the foundation of Bangladesh High Commission building on its own land at Margala diplomatic zone in the Pakistan capital of Islamabad yesterday.

Khaleda is now in Islamabad on a four-day visit for the 12th Saarc Summit.

The prime minister cut a ribbon marking the foundation laying ceremony of the new building on 16-bigha of land.

Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan, PM's Political Secretary M Haris Chowdhury, PM's Principal Secretary Dr Kamal Siddiqui, Foreign Secretary Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury and Bangladesh High Commissioner in Islamabad FA Shamim Ahmed were also present.
