Ahmedul Kabir's death condoled
The Commonwealth Society of Bangladesh has condoled the death of chief editor of the Sangbad Ahmedul Kabir, who was the president of the Bangladesh chapter of the Commonwealth Press Union.
In a statement, Society President M M Rezaul Karim and Secretary General Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury described the death as not only a loss for the Bangladesh, but also for the Commonwealth family.
The Dhaka University S M Hall Old Students' Association has also condoled the death of Kabir, who was one of the senior-most member of the association.
Association President Dr Mizanur Rahman Shelley and Secretary General Zakir Ahmed Khan recalled with profound gratitude Kabir's contribution to the growth and development of the association.
Kabir was a resident of the S M Hall from 1942-46 as a student of economics of the Dhaka University.
