BNP plans big for party's silver jubilee

The BNP has taken up an array of programmes to mark its silver jubilee founding anniversary on September 1.

The four-day long celebration starts on August 31 with the offering of Fateha at the Mazar of late president Ziaur Rahman.

A photo exhibition, "25 years of BNP", has been arranged at the National Museum on August 31.

Prime Minister Khaleda Zia will lead a colourful rally in the capital after a public meeting at Paltan Maidan at 3:00pm on September 1.

Special prayers in all mosques, temple, churches will be conducted the same day.

A discussion meeting on "BNP for development of the country and people in last 25 years" and an open concert "Bangladeshi Cultural Festival" at Paltan Maidan on September 3 have also been organised to mark the occasion.
