BCL leader assaulted on DU campus

Sources said Swaraz Kumar, vice president of Jagannath Hall unit BCL, was beaten up by Diganta Kumar, a non-student staying at the hall under the shelter of JCD leaders.

The BCL held a rally on the campus protesting the attack on Swaraz.

Addressing the rally, BCL leaders demanded punishment to his attacker.

They said there is no security of life as a number of outsiders are staying and moving freely on the campus.

BCL leaders said the recovery of two bodies from the campus has already created panic among the students.

Presided over by BCL DU unit President Delwar Hossain, the rally was addressed by Marufa Akhter Popy, Rafiqul Islam, Baloram Podder, Morsheduzzaman Selim and Hemayet Uddin Khan Himu.
