Jubo League leader Bashar denies link with attack

Bashar also refuted any internal feud in his unit.

Meanwhile, Dhaka City South unit Jubo League yesterday protested attack on July 19 in the city.

City's South unit Jubo League President Mahiuddin Ahmed Mahi and General Secretary Nurunnabi Chowdhury in a statement said 'criminals' of the BNP-Jamaat-led alliance government fired on the wedding reception indiscriminately and killed Labu's sister-in-law Nazma Akhter.

They blamed the government for accusing their North unit president Abul Bashar of the incident. Government did so to save the real killers, they said.

The government has no right to cling to power anymore as it failed to give security to people, they added.

In a similar statement city's North unit General Secretary Moinul Hossain Khan also protested the attack.
