Verdict in Jubo Dal leader Mizan murder case today

Shahed Noor Uddin, judge of the Speedy Trial Tribunal-1, Dhaka Division, will pronounce the verdict at 12:30 pm, court sources said.

Mizan, organising secretary of the ward No. 2 unit of Dhaka city Jubo Dal, was killed by a gang allegedly led by 'Kailla' Palash at East Rampura at about 5:45am on May 29, last year.

Mosammat Aroja Khatun, mother of the victim, filed a murder case with Khilgaon Police Station accusing six people including Palash the same day.

Of the accused, Palash, Sujan, Suman, Milon, Mithu and Uzzal are now in jail custody while Lenin, Swadhin and Salam have been absconding since the incident.

Meanwhile, verdict in the Kamrunnahar Lila murder case will also be delivered today.
