AL to send party MPs to Bogra to probe ammo seizure
The Awami League (AL) will demonstrate across Bangladesh on July 4 to protest the government move to make the Jatiya Sangsad ineffective and send a parliamentary delegation to probe Bogra ammunition seizure.
The decisions came yesterday from a presidium meeting at AL's Dhanmondi office with Abdus Samad Azad in the chair.
A public meeting at Paltan Maidan will be held as part of the demonstration also to protest the use of invective against Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Leader of the Opposition Sheikh Hasina and the proposed 'anti-people' budget.
The meeting will be held any day from July 5 to 7 depending on the permission for the use of the Maidan, meeting sources said.
