AL to stay in Sangsad

The decision was taken yesterday at an emergency meeting of the AL Parliamentary Party (ALPP). AL President Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting of about 30 lawmakers.

"The ruling party lawmakers and the chair interrupted us repeatedly so that we could not speak in favour of people. But we would continue to join the current budget session and prove that they did not allow us to speak in parliament," said Opposition Chief Whip Abdus Shahid after the meeting.
