Venezuela’s Maduro regime loses latest step of UK gold case

The Venezuelan government of President Nicolas Maduro yesterday vowed to fight on after the latest UK judgment in a long-running legal tussle over who gets to control the oil-rich country's gold reserves.

UK judge Sara Cockerill ruled for the rival government of opposition leader Juan Guaido in her technical decision concerning appointments made to the Banco Central de Venezuela (BCV) by Guaido.
