Tuni's tragic end

Ours is a society where we push some to commit suicide and then criticise why they ended their lives in such a silly way, ignoring our responsibilities to help them when they were in crisis. We all remember Nayar Sultana, who played Tuni, a young girl in the popular drama serial “Ei Shob Din Ratri” on BTV in the 1980s. Reality pushed her too hard so that she forgot about her two daughters and take the unthinking decision to kill herself. Or was she killed? Everyone should be held responsible. I mourn her untimely departure.
