Bangladesh goes online with marriage registration

Bangladesh has introduced an online system for marriage and divorce registration, following amendments that also remove gender-discriminatory provisions.

According to the verified page of Chief Adviser GOB on Facebook, the reforms would simplify the process for citizens, allowing them to complete registrations digitally rather than visiting offices in person to complete marriage and divorce registrations. 

As per the announcement, the introduction of online services makes the process simpler which will save time and money of the people, and increase public trust in the registration system.
