On October 20, the shooting for the joint production film "Dorod" between Bangladesh and India, began in Varanasi and Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh, India. It was planned that Shakib Khan would participate in the shooting on that day. Prior to that, on October 15, he was supposed to go to Mumbai, India, but none of these plans came to fruition due to visa complications. Shakib Khan has not yet obtained the necessary work permit visa to enter India, so he couldn't travel there for the shooting. When he will eventually go is still uncertain.

Miss World Bangladesh Jessia Islam has officially signed up to appear in Shakib Khan starrer "Dorod", after having made her acting debut on the silver screen this year with “MR-9: Do or Die”.

The shooting of the film will begin in Banaras from October 20. “Since it is a pan-Indian cinema, so we will have the opportunity to release it simultaneously in for the audiences in Bangla, Tamil, and Telegu. After confirming the news to The Daily Star, Anonno Mamun shared that Shakib will surprise everyone with his look for this project, and at he is working on it at this very moment.
