Anonno Mamun's plan to make a pan-Indian film featuring Shakib Khan has faced a setback as Bollywood actor Faisal Khan, who was initially set to star alongside Shakib, has decided not to be a part of the project. Mamun had previously shared his excitement about bringing the two talented actors from different industries together. 

"Priyotoma" director Himel Ashraf, shared a heartfelt video on social media, capturing the emotions of the special event. He expressed his gratitude to Shakib Khan for standing by him through thick and thin, even during times of media scrutiny and doubts about his filmmaking abilities.

Released this Eid ul Adha, “Priyotoma” is a Versatile Media production. Late Farooq Hossain and director Himel Ashraf jointly wrote the screenplay and dialogues for the movie.

Anonno Mamun mentioned that an official announcement will be made only after Shakib Khan returns from the United States. As fans eagerly await the revelation, the director keeps the suspense intact, intensifying the intrigue surrounding the film.

In conversation with The Daily Star, Apu shared that she is very happy that her first production is gaining appreciation from both sides of the border. “I want to win people’s heart through our film, and it is definitely a great honour that the film is being screened at such a prestigious festival”, shared the actress.

However, what many may not know is that Shobnom Bubly, was the original choice for the lead role, opposite Shakib Khan. In an interview with the media, Bubly opens up about her experience with the project and her thoughts on the film's success. 

The photo portrayed the “Priyotoma” star Shakib Khan sitting on the ground beside a roadside bench at the US. Meanwhile, his son Joy could be seen sleeping on the bench.

When probed further, Apu replied “ This is a sensitive issue, I don’t want to say more than necessary.”

On the 23rd day of the release of “Priyotoma”, director Himel Ashraf told The Daily Star about the ticket sales of the third week of the movie, 'Even in the fourth week of release, the movie is being screened in up to 63 theaters in the country.”

Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan is all set to make a grand comeback to Tollywood after a break of five years. Known for his performance in Bangladesh-India joint productions like "Shikari", "Nabab", "Chalbaaz", "Naqab" and "Bhaijan Elo Re," Shakib's return has already created a buzz in the industry.
