Following Eid-ul-Fitr, when five films—“Bonolota Express”, “Domm”, “Prince”, “Pressure Cooker”, and “Rakkhosh”—were released, focus has now shifted to the next major holiday window. Among them, “Bonolota Express” is still holding the top position, while others recorded moderate commercial returns and some overseas response.

“At its core, it’s a film about an artiste’s journey,” he explains, expressing quiet confidence in the project. “Despite the limited budget, we’ve tried to create something meaningful. Now it’s about finding the right space where it can reach its audience.”

The actor, who rose to prominence with “Poramon 2” and has since built a steady run in Bangladeshi cinema, returns this Eid with “Rakkhosh”. Following its release, he visited three theatres to witness audience reactions up close—an experience he describes as both energising and deeply personal.

Musically, “Suddhotar Prem” leans on a soft, melodic arrangement by Arafat Kirty, beautifully composed by Arafat Mohsin Nidhi that allows the vocals to take centre stage. Imran and Konal’s expressive delivery brings a gentle emotional depth to the lyrics by Tonmoy Parvez, making the track both soothing and relatable for listeners.

Siam also expressed happiness about several films releasing this Eid. “It feels great that so many films are coming out. They are all our films — there’s no division. My first film’s co-star Puja Chery also has a film releasing this Eid — ‘Domm’, directed by Redoan Rony, who also directed my first drama. So we are all connected in one way or another, which makes me very happy.”

A major portion of the film was shot in Sri Lanka, where Shataf performed several action sequences with Siam Ahmed. During the shoot, he explored the local scenery and spent time with the team between takes.

Both films are scheduled to be released during Eid al-Fitr. After completing portions of their shoots in Bangladesh, the teams moved to Sri Lanka for the next phase.
