It may be recalled that on March 29, Rahul Arunoday Banerjee drowned while shooting for the television serial “Bhole Baba Par Karega” at Talsari beach in Odisha. Since then, his death has been surrounded by growing questions and speculation, prompting widespread calls for accountability within the industry.

Actor Bhaskar Banerjee, who played Rahul’s on-screen uncle in the serial, confirmed that the entire unit had travelled to Talsari for the shoot. “It is a tragic incident. He died due to drowning. The incident took place after the pack-up, but we still do not know exactly how it happened,” he said.

Rahul Banerjee made his silver screen debut with Raj Chakraborty's film, "Chirodini Tumi Je Amar". The film was a blockbuster hit at the box office. Yet, after that project, Rahul and Raj were never seen working together in any other film.
