Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto feels that the likes of Nahid Rana and others who have been drafted in by Pakistan Super League (PSL) sides will get valuable experience playing in franchise cricket.

The pre-match hype around Bangladesh’s speedster Nahid Rana proved to be for nought as the pacer did not get picked for their opening Group A match of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy against India in Dubai today, a decision that raised quite a few eyebrows.

Shanto was optimistic about the vibe Rana creates in the Tigers’ dressing room. If the Tigers are to make headway into the tournament and upset the bigger sides, they would need Rana to be at the top of his game.

The ninth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy is set to begin on Wednesday with the Group A match between hosts Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi.
