Celebrating the Summer Harvest

The paddy fields of rural Bangladesh have turned golden with ripe paddy ready for harvest. With only iron sickles, farmers of our country cover acres of lands to reap their hard earned crops. Their families at home pass this busy time husking rice from golden paddy grains with traditional technology and equipment. Every hut in rural Bangladesh bustles with activity and enchanting with folksongs of summer harvest can be heard everywhere. Pigeons are welcome to take their share from the harvest as they are considered good luck charms for the farmers.
