The Saga of a Self-Destructive Society
The article titled 'The Saga of a Self-destructive Society' (published on March 11, 2016) is a wake-up call and conscience-arousing piece that urges to bring to an end to the killing of innocent children in the country immediately. It is so terrifying and astonishing for us to know the number of children who were killed in the recent years published in the article. The latest killing of the two siblings allegedly by their mother is still an enigmatic incident. Abducting four children and subsequently murdering them in a secret burial is another gruesome killing. How on earth could people take their vengeance out on children and kill them indiscriminately? To my mind, this crime is an imminence of self destruction and it shows the rise of a Frankenstein made monster in the society. It must be resisted and done away with an iron fist so that no criminals dare to kill children. These immoral criminals should be given the highest penalty as our Prime Minister reprimanded of this issue and came down heavily on the perpetrators in the parliament.

Calming the Cramps
The article titled 'Calming the Cramps' (published on March 04, 2016) was really a resourceful write up by Elita Karim. Though I am not a regular reader of the Star Weekend, I try to get in touch with the magazine every week. However, so far, I did not find such article earlier. The article seemed a different one to me; as such articles are not published frequently. I think in our society there are a lot of problems which we do not like to share with others, and as a result, we have to suffer a lot. I think this resourceful article will help to overcome these problems and help us to lead a healthy life. I would like to thank Star Weekend for publishing article about such vital but less discussed matter.

Professor Razzak's Treasure Trove
Thanks to Apurba Jahangir for his valuable article titled 'Professor Razzak's Treasure Trove' published on March 4, 2016. This article reminded me of another book 'Joddopi Amar Guru' written in Bengali by the eminent writer Ahmad Sofa. When I read that book first, I was astonished to think how vast the realm of the professor's knowledge was! Reading that book I imagined, the professor must have a rich collection of books and I wondered what happened to those books after his demise? Apurba's article gave us the great news that with all his books 'Gayantapas Abdur Razzaq Bidayapeeth' started its journey as a resource center for general readers and researchers. I think this library is not a simple library; rather this is a library which has a rich history and glory. Every book of this library commemorates Abdur Razzak, the scholar of our nation who has sacrificed his life for knowledge. The library encourages its readers and the researchers to reshape themselves into the mould of this great person.
