Wildlife deaths in Lawachhara forest
In Moulvibazar's Lawachhara forest, uncommon and endangered wildlife are frequently killed by vehicles and trains.
Through the forest runs a road, connecting Sreemangal and Kamalganj. Dhaka-Sylhet rail route also goes through it. Every day, at least three wild animals perish on this road and rail track.
The Daily Star published a report by Mintu Deshwara on this issue. The most recent state of the Lawachhara forest is available in this Star News Plus.
