Dengue infection in Bangladesh, especially in Dhaka, has now become an unignorable health crisis -- with 153 patients hospitalized till this morning (July 28), the highest in a day this year.

Around 97 percent of the total 1,954 cases this year have been detected in the capital; and what's more alarming is that this time children seem to be more vulnerable than before.

So, how severe is the dengue outbreak this year? Are the authorities doing enough to curb the spread?
