Sri Lanka women’s cricket team, led by Chamari Athapaththu, arrived in Bangladesh on Friday for a white-ball series against the hosts, set to begin in Rajshahi on April 20.

The visitors landed in Dhaka at 11:30 am before taking a domestic flight to Rajshahi at 5:00pm. The three-match ODI series will be held at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium on April 20, 22, and 25.

Following the ODI leg, both teams will travel to Sylhet for a three-match T20I series, scheduled for April 28, 30, and May 2 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Sri Lanka have named a strong 16-member squad for the ODIs and a 15-member squad for the T20Is.

This marks Sri Lanka Women’s first bilateral series in Bangladesh. The two sides previously met in a bilateral series only once, in Sri Lanka in 2023, where the hosts won in both formats -- the ODIs 1-0 and the T20Is 2-1.

The upcoming tour will also be Sri Lanka's first under new head coach Jamie Siddons, who previously worked with the Bangladesh men’s team in various roles.
