Shakib to fly to USA tomorrow
Bangladesh's ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who got ruled out from the rest of the ICC T20 World Cup after suffering a hamstring injury, is set to leave the team hotel tomorrow and will return to the United States to his family.
Habibul Bashar, former captain and member of the selection panel, confirmed the news to the media.
"Shakib is still with the team and is expected to travel to US tomorrow [Tuesday]," said Bashar.
Shakib injured himself during the Tigers' third Super 12 game against West Indies on October 29 and was seen to struggle throughout the game.
Following assessment, the Bangladesh team physician Debashish Chowdhury eventually revealed that Shakib requires rest and will not be able to take part for the rest of the tournament.
