Mominul back in T20 fold

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced the squad for the two-match Twenty20 series against South Africa.

The injury-hit Bangladesh team included five players – Mominul Haque, Nasir Hossain, Liton Das, Rubel Hossain and Shafiul Islam -- who did not feature in the Tigers' last T20I squad in Sri Lanka earlier this year.

Opener Tamim Iqbal has ruled himself out of the two-match series due to injury and so did left-arm pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman.

Interestingly, Mominul has marked his return to the shortest format of the game after a gap of three years. Bangladesh will play the first T20I at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein on October 26 while the second one will take place at the Senwes Park in Potchefstroom on October 29.
