**In 2013, Zidane was appointed assistant coach to Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

**In 2014, Real Madrid announced that Zidane would be the coach of Real Madrid's B team, Real Madrid Castilla.

**Zidane replaced sacked Real manager Rafa Benitez in 2016. He became the first manager to win three Champions League titles in a row.

**He guided the club to a LaLiga title in the 2016-17 season and two FIFA Club World Cup crowns.

**Left Real five days after winning the 2018 Champions League, saying the club required a new voice and approach.
