SAFF U-20 Championship

Upbeat booters take on India today

Star Sports Report

After starting their SAFF U-20 Championship campaign with a 1-0 win over Sri Lanka, Bangladesh will take on India in their second match at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar today.

The young booters in red and green attended a team meeting on Tuesday morning and afterwards were separated in two groups to complete their strength and conditioning training in the gym followed by ice bath and swimming recovery. However, they didn't have any training sessions on the field ahead of their clash against the neighbouring nation.

With three points gained in the first match, Bangladesh are currently in second position behind Nepal on goal difference. The hosts, however, will get their journey in the tournament underway with the match against Bangladesh. Consecutive victories for Bangladesh will increase their chances of finishing inside the top two of the table.

The match will take place in the same venue at 04:30pm Bangladesh time and will be broadcast live on SAFF Facebook page.
