Topu, Sohel out as Dooley makes four changes against Singapore

Midfielder Sohel Rana and defender Shakil Ahad Topu paid the price for their poor performance against Malaysia as Thomas Dooley rung in the changes against Singapore in the FIFA AEAN Cup on Monday.

Topu was especially criticised for his involvement in the three goals while Sohel was lambasted, even by the coach himself, for his lackluster effort as Bangladesh lost by 3-0 goals.

Dooley made four changes to the starting XI: Zidane Yousuf replaces Topu in defence, Jamal comes in for Sohel, Shuki Itofusa replaces Farhaan Ali Wahid, and Sheikh Morsalin comes in for Fahamedul Islam.

Zidane had made a good impression after coming on in the second half for Tariq Kazi while Shuki and Morsalin, too, had featured in the second half. Jamal, the regular captain, however, did not get a chance.
