Premier League title race wide open: who do the pundits back?

Manchester City reignited the Premier League title race as Erling Haaland ended his scoring drought with the decisive goal in a breathless 2-1 victory over leaders Arsenal on Sunday, cutting the gap at the top to three points with a game in hand.

The victory moved chasers City to 67 points from 32 matches, three behind Arsenal, who remain top on 70 from 33 games, but Pep Guardiola's side can climb above them with a win over relegation‑threatened Burnley on Wednesday with five games of the season remaining.

City are now in pole position to win their seventh Premier League title in nine seasons, while Arsenal face the agony of finishing second for the fourth straight season.

Who do the pundits think will lift the trophy, and why?

Ten-time Premier League title winner Gary Neville: "For the first time this season, I'm going to say [the Premier League Trophy ribbons] are going to be blue."

Ex-Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira: "The momentum is on City's side. It will be interesting to see how Arsenal recover because it's a huge disappointment for them. They will feel the pressure more now. I believe City will do it."

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane: "I'm going to stick with Arsenal. That belief isn't as strong as it was before the game, but I am going to stick with Arsenal because I called it at the start of the season."

Two-time title winner with Man City Micah Richards: "I said: if Man City win this game, they win the league."

Five-time Premier League title winner Wayne Rooney: "City's fixtures look a little bit more difficult, so I still have Arsenal down as slight favourites."

Former Liverpool and Fulham midfielder Danny Murphy: "Bournemouth away could be tough for Man City and West Ham is probably the one to watch for Arsenal. But it will be [decided by] goal difference and Man City will edge it."

Ex-Premier League goalkeeper Rob Green: "It's going to take something monumental for Arsenal to turn this around."

Title winner with Blackburn Rovers Chris Sutton: "Arsenal will win the Premier League. They have the easier fixtures, and Man City will slip up in theirs."
