Mbappe to become highest-paid footballer if he joins Real: reports
Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe have reportedly reached an agreement that would see the France international join Los Blancos next summer on a free transfer and earn a record salary at the Spanish club.
Mbappe's contract with Paris Saint-Germain runs until June 30, but the forward has reportedly turned down all of the club's renewal offers amid interest from Real Madrid.
According to German publication BILD, Mbappe has now agreed to join Madrid on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
According to the reports, he is set to be offered a deal worth an incredible €50m (£41.5m) per year before tax, making him the highest-paid footballer in the world based on salary alone.
Mbappe's contract would see him paid around €137,000 (£114,100) each day, or to break it down even further, around €1.58 (£1.32) every single second.
As MARCA has already reported, the deal between the two parties will not be made official before the Champions League last-16 tie between Real Madrid and PSG is over.
The German publication also stresses that the Ligue 1 club have already given up on their efforts to extend Mbappe's contract.
