Eleta Kingsley and Nabib Newaj Jibon struck one goal apiece in the second half as title aspirants Abahani came from behind twice to notch up a hard-fought 3-2 win over Muktijoddha Sangsad in their third match of the Bangladesh Premier League at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla today.

Muktijoddha stunned Abahani to take a three-minute lead with a strike from Burundi forward Soleman Landy, who also restored the lead in the 46th minute after Costa Rican Daniel Colindres equalised the margin for Abahani in the 40th minute.

After the first half, six-time champions Abahani kept threatening to come back into the match. They were well thwarted by Muktijoddha until substitute Kingsley levelled the margin in the 80th minute.

As the match rolled towards the stoppage time and seemingly headed for a 2-2 draw, out-of-favour national forward Jibon struck the winner three minutes into the stoppage time of the second half.

Meanwhile, at the Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club recorded a single-goal win over Bangladesh Police with Stewart Cornelius netting the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the 24th minute.
