2024 Women's T20 World Cup to be held in Bangladesh

The Women's T20 World Cup will be held in Bangladesh in 2024, it was confirmed during the ongoing ICC Annual Conference in Birmingham.

Four women's tournaments will take place in four years, starting with the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024, which will take place in Bangladesh.

It will be the first time that Bangladesh host a major ICC women's tournament and the second time it will be host a T20 World Cup, previously staging the 2014 edition.

The tournament will be held between September-October, and comprise 10 teams playing 23 matches.

The sub-continent as a whole will enjoy more events. A year later, the action will move to India for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025, which will feature eight teams.

Sri Lanka will host the inaugural edition of the T20 Women's ICC Champions Trophy -- if they secure qualification -- in February, 2026.

In June of the same year, England will host the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. It will be the nation's first time hosting the event and the number of teams will also increase from 10 to 12.
