Will rain play spoilsport in Chattogram today?

Star Sports Report

As Bangladesh looked to seal a series victory against New Zealand in the second ODI on Wednesday, rain is threatening to derail the Tigers’ ambitions as much as it does the visitors’ hopes of levelling the series.

Parts of Chattogram were left waterlogged after heavy to moderate showers throughout yesterday. New Zealand had their optional training session moved indoors, with only a few players attending, while the hosts did not train at all.

There was light drizzle in the morning over parts of Chattogram on Wednesday, with cloud covers over the venue – the Birshreshtha Flight Lt Matiur Rahman Stadium in Sagorika.

And then around 12 in the morning, heavy rain started across the city, with pictures showing dark clous hovering over the venue.

The rain might be an on and off thing today as it is in the rest of the country, meaning the match might see stop-start action, all through the day.
